REVIEW:
A stunning position among the vines overlooking the flat plain that is Lake George, grapefoodwine offers an open fire in Winter or a balcony in Summer, with refined seasonal "country" food that creates the perfect backdrop for an extended wine tasting of the estate's wines. Most dishes are offered as both entrees and mains, are beautifully crafted and balanced in flavour, served with arty table accessories and stylish condiments; but leave room as the sweets can be simply exquisite. The estate's wines are very good and enhanced by some bargain buys ... we'll say no more on that. This is a seriously good country restaurant and worthy of a detour when travelling to or from Canberra or the snow.
