From Jeremy's classic training and his food from a string of Australia's finest restaurants and Jane's simplke modern Australian approach comes a series of dishes that rejoice in Australian produce. The dishes are organised for casual weekend cooking, great food for working people - "school nights" - to dinner party specials, all are explained simply and explicitly so that any cook can achieve quality results. Recipes are appropriately in sizes for two, four or six people and each accredited to either Jeremy or Jane. A delight and the receipes work.

Jeremy Strode moved to Melbourne in 1992, and quickly established a name and a following. His cooking received rave reviews, from the George Cafe in St Kilda, to The Adelphi, his own venture ý Pomme, and Langton's. In 2002 he and Jane moved to Sydney where they took over MG Garage. Jeremy is currently working on the opening of his new restaurant, Bistrode. Jane Strode grew up around a shared table of fine food. This is what led her into the kitchen and a three year apprenticeship at Rockpool in Sydney, where her sure technique was developed. She then moved to Melbourne and worked at Langton's, returning to Sydney to work at MG Garage before opening Booker's Bistro. Jane is currently producing her own food range, Kitchen Sync.
