REVIEW:
I will be the first to admit that I was less than taken with Mr Oliverýs TV antics when he first appeared. Underwhelmed by food which was rather mundane and uninspired, and annoyed by ditzy presentation, I hoped he would be a short-lived wonder. Time has seen Mr Oliver mature, and his helping street kids with his ý15ý restaurant (albeit a television reality concept I didn't watch) and, even more important in our obesity and health-threatening world for minors, his championing quality and style of food children that eat in schools in the UK. So I've changed my tune and watch with interest ... Now his latest TV show and book focus on his love of Italy. The TV show is a delightful series of Italian experiences, and the book talks of the people, the food and recipes with passion and humour. He discourses on different subjects that are the essence of Italian lifestyle, and the recipes are simple and easy to follow; most of all he talks seasonality and freshness of quality produce. Mr Oliver, youýve won me over!
