REVIEW:
Jamie Oliver has come of age. From an annoying presenter with dubious cooking talent he has taken on the mantle of something more serious. His TV show on Italy and, more recently ýJamie at Homeý (albeit with a garden that could fill a market stall manned by a full-time gardener) show a passion for Italian food and seasonal produce. The book accompanying the television series furthers the passion for the seasons and gives loads of information on establishing and maintaining a successful home garden. Since I now grow a range of heirloom tomatoes, lettuce, peas and more, I can state that this is a handy book loaded with growing hints ... just swap the hemisphereýs seasons. And the 100 plus recipes based on the produce are easy to follow and will help create some fine home cooking.
