The sub-title is somewhat of an understatement as this book is a font of information on olive oil and the industry in Australia. It covers the cultivation, production and judging of olive oil. And, from the frequency that I encounter rancid olive oil on tables as the first offering, this information is invaluable to restaurateurs and diners alike. Patrice Newell's books give the impression she has a blessed life growing olives in the upper Hunter Valley, but her passion shines through when she writes on her favourite subject. A delightful read.
