REVIEW:
Much more than a book of recipes, FIRE is a culinary travelogue that moves from Japan to Morocco and beyond. Christine Manfield investigates the culinary traditions of the places she visits and draws inspiration for new creations of her own. There is an underlying essence of fire in the spices of the cuisines she pursues and in the dishes that evolve. It may inspire you to travel to some of these places but should also get you to try some of the recipes. It may be expensive but it is not only a delightful read but a visually stunning book with some great photography by Anson Smart.
