When most magazines are dropping content and price an outstanding & beautiful magazine appears. "Magazine" is perhaps a limited description of apicius: with its glossy collection of in-depth articles, photos and recipes from eight of the finest restaurants and food shops across the world it looks more like a soft cover book. According to the editorial forward these are "dissertations" on the direction of modern cuisine. The Roca boys, Blumenthal, Carlo Cracco, Wylie Dufresne, Pierre Herme and more grace this issue. Detailed recipes from each chef, and stunning photos througout. If you're not tempted by the recipes, the stories of the chefs and their establishments will have you hungering to dine there. Published twice yearly, the international edition appears December and June but later on shelves in Australia.
