REVIEW:
Ed is the charming TV chef on Better Homes & Gardens, presenting easy-to-cook dishes for that audience. He introduces his Dinners in 10 saying that no-one invites him to dinner at home. It's a fate destined for all good chefs and, even more so, food reviewers like myself. And, if someone does get up the courage, they usually try to over-acheive and then f... up. Or simply don't enjoy themselves. Simple things done well can be the most attractive to guests. And dishes that don't keep you in the kitchen while your guests drink all the best wine. Dinner in 10 is a collection of receipes designed to increase your enjoyment of cooking and entertaining. All set in ten steps supposedly minute by minute this is some of the clearest, and most explicit, directions for cooking I've seen in hundreds of cook books. Nothing seems left out and the range of dishes is broad and interesting. Great book for simple but worthy cooking.
