Sydney Food & Wine Fair ~ Saturday 28 October 2006
With more than 100 stallholders from leading Sydney restaurants, cafes and winemakers this year's SYDNEY FOOD & WINE FAIR promises to be the biggest ever!
This annual fundraising event for the AIDS Trust of Australia, presented in association with major sponsors Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month and the City of Sydney, is being held on Saturday 28 October in Hyde Park North from midday. Sydney Food & Wine Fair spokesperson, chef Christine Manfield, is once again delighted to be involved and says, "Sponsorship at this event is a vital revenue source and without the support from the stallholders the fair would not be able to continue or offer such diversity each year. So bring along your appetite and sample some of Sydneyýs finest food and wine at tempting prices". To avoid disappointment be early on the day, as food and wine stalls open promptly at 12 noon and many are sold out by 2.00pm. A talented line up of entertainment runs from 12 noon to 6.00pm. Entry to the park is FREE; food & wine vouchers in denominations of $2.00 can be purchased from the ticket stalls situated throughout the park. All proceeds go to the AIDS Trust of Australia to provide community funding for ongoing education and the elimination of HIV/AIDS.
