The 2003 McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival presents a combination of the best seafood from the Gulf of St. Vincent and beyond paired with a variety of McLaren Vales best reds and whites.
Twenty-two McLaren Vale wineries are joining forces with local McLaren Vale and Adelaide restaurateurs to create an atmosphere of superb indulgence with sensational seafood, fantastic wines and musical acts including jazz, blues and rock. A selection of traditional Australian and a fusion of European and Asian seafood dishes will be available to tantalise the tastebuds including Warm Salmon Pie, Wok Fried Squid, Morton Bay Bugs, Hearty Seafood Risotto, Coopers Beer Battered Fish and Seafood Bento.
The McLaren Vale Wine Region is only 40 minutes south of Adelaide nestled between the lower slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges and the waters of the Gulf of St. Vincent. Take this opportunity to stay for the long weekend or just visit for the day.
Visitors can purchase a souvenir glass for $4 then choose an entrée size seafood dish for $10 and a glass of wine from $4 from participating wineries.
June is one of the best times to visit McLaren Vale with warming winter reds and the freshest seafood on show.
